How To Make Money From Home When Anxiety Prevents You From Going to Your Workplace

The best solution that immediately comes to mind is remote working. Working remotely is best explained as maintaining a professional approach to your responsibilities but doing so from any place, usually home, other than the employer’s physical location.

Special arrangements and agreements need to be established between the employer and employee when remote working is established. Once that is all addressed, the employee needs to prepare a work environment that is suitable for their home.

Some thought needs to be put into this. You need to present well even when addressing clientele from home. Remember, not only are you representing yourself but you are also representing your employer.

Technology today allows for so much flexibility. Tools like Zoom have opened up many new possibilities.

If anxiety keeps you from working outside the home, remote working is a great alternative.

I have personal experience with all of them but the best and most reliable one is my last suggestion. With it, you can establish a legitimate home business.

Again, I want to emphasize that the anxiety that is causing the difficulties in the first place should be addressed.

Five Suggested Ways To Address Anxiety

(I am not a doctor nor claim to be)

Daily Exercise

You can release endorphins in your brain naturally just by getting about 30 minutes of exercise. Endorphines are chemicals that your brain is capable of making. They induce a feeling of happiness or positivity.

The exercise doesn’t need to be on a professional athlete level. Don’t attempt to be running like Usain Bolt. Keep it lite and enjoyable, just go for a walk. Gradually you can quicken your pace. Do this for 30 minutes and you will feel better about yourself and life.

Improve Your Diet

The food you ingest does make a difference in how you feel and perform throughout the day. Again, don’t complicate it. Keep it as simple as possible.

Drink a protein drink and eat a bowl of oatmeal first thing in the morning. Be sure to drink water and some unsweetened juice to go along with it. Tomato juice might work well for you.

Around noon try a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, avocado, fish, tuna, or greens. Have some fruit afterward. Drink water throughout your meal.

For dinner, try some fish such as salmon, chicken, a good vegetable, and salad greens. Be sure to include fruit. Again, stick to the water.

You can add nuts such as cashews, pistachios, and even pumpkin seeds. Snack on foods that are as natural as you can get.

Try foods that are the least processed and enjoyable. Keep to the non-processed foods but you can change it up so you don’t get terribly bored.

Get a Good Night’s Sleep

Getting a consistent, good night’s sleep is very important but sometimes difficult to achieve. Retire at the same time every evening and get up in the morning at the same time every day.

Eliminate light in your room and try some ambient, background noise such as a fan.

There are natural supplements that are available in health stores that may help. Consult the people working there as they frequently know what they are talking about.

Stay off the phone or computer screen a good hour before you go to bed. Do whatever you can to try to relax such as quiet soothing music while taking a warm bath. Just writing about it relaxes me.

Definitely stay away from caffeine and alcohol. Stick to water as I’ve mentioned many times before.

Find Happiness Within Yourself

Surround yourself with positive, happy people. Stick with joyful people and chances are, you will start to feel the same.

Be teachable and learn new things. Step out of your comfort zone and take on a new activity. Don’t be afraid to branch out and try something new. Join groups that have like-minded interests. Throw perfectionism out the window and just try to enjoy participating.

Take an inventory of the positive things (not necessarily items) you have in your life. Practice gratitude for having these things and remind yourself daily. Don’t dwell on what you don’t have.

Contribute to society in some way. You could simply volunteer in an area of interest such as an animal rescue if you enjoy being around animals. Get involved with something that contributes and you will feel great about yourself.

Isolation Is Killer

Do not isolate. Being alone with your own thoughts can be a dangerous place. At a minimum communicate with others via your phone or computer.

Get outside. Don’t stay in the same room or house. Get outside and walk around where there are other people. Be seen and communicate with others.

Everyone must have some social connections to live and progress through life. Isolation will affect your physical health and can lead to additional behavioral health issues.
